Materials

The WESCOLD Titanium Chiller is constricted entirely of nonferrous materials. The tubes are 3/4" OD titanium. Tube sheet and end plate construction is 316L stainless steel, as are the refrigeration connections. And the shell is HDPE (high density polyethylene).

Construction

Unlike other manufacturers, we hand-roll each tube into a double-grooved tube sheet. This gives a leakproof, permanent seal for years of trouble free operation. An O-ring groove in the end plate works with the stainless steel clamp to provide a simple, effective seal on the seawater side.

Design

The WESCOLD Titanium Chiller utilizes several design innovations that make it the chiller you need on your vessel. Our tubes have a minimum of 5/16" clear space between them, helping to maintain full seawater flow and prevent icing problems. Our seawater connections come flanged for easy installation. And our unique end plate is machined from a solid piece of stainless steel, eliminating the need for fragile distributor tubes.
