Duro-Screw Compressor Units
Construction
The WESCOLD Duro-Screw compressor
package utilizes a heavy structural base
frame arrangement. This arrangement offers
superior alignment rigidity and enables
the use of any type of electric motor
or fuel engine to drive the compressor.
It offers one of the smallest footprints
and lowest profiles in the industry. All
components of the Duro-Screw can be readily
accessed from floor level.
Compressor
The WESCOLD Duro-Screw utilizes
either Mycom or Howden manufactured helical
screw compressors. These two compressors
are the proven workhorses of the industry.
The large overlapping range of machines
built by Mycom and Howden allows our engineers
to select a tonnage that will fit your
needs exactly.
Versatility
The inherent design of the
WESCOLD Duro-Screw enables us to build
a configuration that will fit your plant,
whether it be a new or retrofit application.
The shop can build a single stage, two
stage or dual-pac unit on an in-line,
L-shaped or remote separator base, all
in the same short lead time. Your custom
package is our standard design.
Oil
Separator
The WESCOLD Duro-Screw uses
a vertical oil separator. This design
achieves superior oil/refrigerant separation
in a compact format. A vertical oil separator
has six separation effects: centrifugal
force, change in velocity, gravity, change
in direction, demister impingement and
coalescing. No other type of separator
can offer this.
Control
Panel
The WESCOLD Duro-Screw control
panel comes with a high visibility display
for easy viewing. Standard features include
a menu driven interface to access control
parameters and historical trend logs.
To add to the versatility of this package
we also offer electro-mechanical, PC or
dummy terminal based panels to match your
existing control system needs.
Service
WESCOLD backs the Duro-Screw
package with unparalleled service. Our
skilled technicians are qualified to troubleshoot
and overhaul the Duro-Screw or virtually
any other screw compressor at your plant
for minimum downtime. We also have a climate
controlled rebuild shop at the Seattle
